WORLD NOTE

Welcome to Omega Bound!

This story has multiple POVS and blends elements of the omegaverse with a modern wolf shifter romance. While it shares some familiar biological and instinct-driven traits, this world follows its own set of rules.

In this universe, wolves are born as shifters living within modern society, with pack structures that mirror traditional wolf hierarchies. Titles such as Alpha, Beta, and Gamma exist, but they are earned ranks—not biological designations as commonly seen in omegaverse fiction.

All male wolves are classless by birth unless they rise to Alpha status.
She-wolves are also unclassified, with rare exceptions—some are born as Alphas, and some as Omegas. These designations are uncommon and carry significant weight within the pack dynamic.

This story includes omegaverse-inspired biological elements such as heats, scenting, knotting (A biological response in Alphas during mating, where a swelling at the base of the anatomy temporarily locks partners together. This instinct reinforces bonding and completion of the mating cycle), and nesting behaviors (An instinct-driven behavior, most commonly seen in Omegas, involving the creation of a safe, enclosed space using soft materials. Nests provide comfort, security, and regulation during periods of stress, vulnerability, or heat.)

She-wolves experience heat cycles, and Omegas experience them more intensely, including altered mental states, heightened instinct, and strong physiological responses to Alpha proximity, scent, and touch.

However, unlike traditional omegaverse structures, this world does not include multiple-partner dynamics. Instead, it follows a fated mate system drawn from fantasy shifter lore—each wolf has one true mate, and that bond is singular, powerful, and unbreakable.

This story contains explicit sexual content influenced by mate bonds, instinct, and biological drive. As a result, the first half of the book leans heavily into these elements.

While the narrative evolves to focus more on plot, relationships, and character growth, explicit scenes continue throughout.

This world also incorporates supernatural elements, including unique abilities and powers tied to lineage and identity, while remaining grounded in a modern-day setting. This world does not include gods, goddesses, or deity-based wolf lore. Wolves are not named after or tied to any divine figures.

As with all blended genres, these elements are intentionally adapted to serve the story.
